The New York Times — August 2017-Present

  • Sept. 2021 - Present: Staff Editor, NYT Audio

    • Curate a timely mix of original audio journalism from The Times, This American Life, leading magazines like The New Yorker and more for the NYT Audio app and core Times news app, available to The Times’s 11 million subscribers.

    • Write headlines, push alerts and other copy to guide users through our audio report.

    • Produce and edit short-form audio, working with outside sources and Times reporters to bring print journalism into a new medium.

    • Work with outside publishers to curate audiobook excerpts.

    • Partner with The Athletic to curate and commission sports content for a general interest audience.

  • Feb. 2021 - Sept. 2021: Senior news assistant, NYT Audio

    • Oversaw the migration of more than a thousand archival articles and podcasts.

    • Helped establish tone and curation practices from the app’s inception.

  • July 2019 - Nov. 2020: Fill-in editor, A2/A3 + Times Insider 

    • Worked with a range of writers — those first writing for The Times as well as veteran reporters — to develop and edit features about Times journalism.

    • Wrote and edited daily elements on deadline for print pages A2 & A3.

    • Performed over a dozen jobs throughout the newsroom.

Moultrie News — Dec. 2015 - June 2017

  • Reporter/copy editor. Covered three communities around Charleston, S.C. Edited all content online and in print. Took photos and video.

Radio Boston, WBUR — Jan. 2015 - July 2015

  • Boston University fellow. Produced audio for the daily magazine show Radio Boston. Regularly produced daily coverage of the trial of the Boston Marathon bomber.

Living on Earth — June 2014 - Dec. 2014

  • Production intern for the weekly environmental news show. Produced and edited interviews. Reported nationally aired stories about safer streets and burping cows.
